Who is Daenerys Targaryen?
Daenerys Targaryen first appeared in the 2011 premiere of HBO’s Game of Thrones. In George R.R. Martin’s novels, she’s just 14 at the story’s start, but the show aged her up to 18-though she still looks like someone who had a harsh childhood in the early seasons.
As the last Targaryen heir, Daenerys is part of a dynasty that ruled the Seven Kingdoms for nearly 300 years.
