Passable puts contact sharing into Apple Wallet

Passable turns contacts, links, and app promos into Apple Wallet passes, with remote updates and deletion across shared cards.

Passable is a new indie app aimed at a common real-world problem: quickly sharing contact details when Apple’s NameDrop feels too limited or unreliable. Instead of sending a standard contact card, Passable packages your details into polished Apple Wallet passes that can be pulled up and shared on the spot.

The app goes beyond contact info. Users can also create passes for websites, social profiles, and other links, with separate cards for different settings. That means you could keep one pass for work events with a business email, and another for personal meetups. There are also dedicated pass types for the App Store and TestFlight, a useful touch for indie developers who want an easier way to share their apps.

Customization is a big part of the pitch. Passable lets users adjust the color and styling of each Wallet pass, and shared passes stay live after they’re sent. If you update a pass inside the app, it remotely updates on everyone’s device. You can also remotely delete passes you’ve already shared.

Passable is available for free on the App Store for iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch. It requires iOS 18, macOS 15, and watchOS 11 or later. The free tier allows one wallet pass per category. Passable Gold expands that to 10 passes per category and adds more customization for $2.99/month, $24.99/year, or $79.99 lifetime.
