Range Rover shows its first EV, and it looks more like a GT
Range Rover has released the first official images of the all-electric Range Rover GT, built on the new EMA platform.

Range Rover has published the first official images of its new fully electric crossover, the Range Rover GT. It is the brand’s first fully electric vehicle and rides on the new EMA platform.
The company says the cabin will feature a single-screen instrument panel replacing the traditional gauge cluster. It also mentions a full-width hidden air vent and a dashboard trimmed in a woven textile material. According to Range Rover, the interior was designed as an “oasis of calm,” with less visual clutter and lower acoustic noise.
Range Rover describes the new model as the most car-like Range Rover it has ever made, while still retaining off-road capability. Prototypes are currently undergoing final road testing.
In the company’s words, the Range Rover GT is meant to rethink the grand tourer segment by combining elegance, proportions, and refinement for long-distance travel with abilities conventional GT cars do not offer.
“Range Rover GT will redefine the gran turismo segment, combining beautiful and compelling elegance, proportions and refinement for long-distance journeys with capabilities unavailable to conventional GT cars. For the past few years, we have worked obsessively on the fundamental principles of the GT formula, reimagined in a refined, distinctive Range Rover style. The result is the most car-like, yet unmistakably capable, Range Rover ever created.”
More details about the vehicle will be announced later this year.
