Apple is using its Shot on iPhone campaign to spotlight Nido de Villanas, a tongue-in-cheek Mexican microdrama filmed entirely on the iPhone 17 Pro. The series is now available on YouTube as 14 Shorts, each running about 2 minutes.
According to Apple’s first-look video, the story follows four women battling over the Iturribiaga fortune in what the company describes as “a microdrama full of ambition, secrets, and betrayals.” The setup leans hard into melodrama: exaggerated performances, dramatic music and sound effects, heavy plot twists, and stylized camerawork that parody classic Mexican telenovelas.

At the same time, the series doubles as a camera demo for the iPhone 17 Pro. Apple highlights features including Action Mode, 8x optical-quality zoom, slow motion, and focus adjustments.
Apple has published a first-look video on its YouTube channel and says viewers can watch the full 14-episode run in the Shorts gallery there.
