Claude Code now runs iOS apps in Apple Simulator
Anthropic has added public beta support for the iOS Simulator in Claude Code for desktop, letting it build, run, and test apps inside Xcode’s simulator.

Anthropic says Claude Code for desktop can now work directly with Apple’s iOS Simulator, with the feature rolling out in public beta.
According to the company, Claude Code can open in-progress apps in the simulator pane when asked to build, run, or check an app. It can watch the simulator live, interact with it, and keep iterating until the project is finished.
Anthropic says developers can continue using the iOS Simulator while Claude is working. The simulator pane controls the simulator directly rather than relying on broader computer-use controls, so it does not require the macOS Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions normally needed for screen-level interaction.
There is a privacy caveat. Anthropic says screenshots of the simulated device taken by Claude are sent to Anthropic and stored under its standard conversation retention settings. The company advises users not to sign in to real accounts on a device being used by Claude.

The feature is available in Claude Code Desktop on macOS and requires Xcode with the iOS platform installed. Anthropic also says the simulator pane works only in local sessions. Setup instructions are available on the company’s website.
