Fandango has removed one of the biggest frictions from its free streaming service: you can now watch as a guest, with no account creation and no sign-in required.
The change is part of a broader push to bring Fandango’s ticketing, digital rentals, and free streaming offerings together under a single brand. For users, the most noticeable update is simple: open the site, choose a title, and hit play. The company has also added a Watch Now feature designed to start free content in one click instead of sending viewers through multiple menus.
According to Fandango, the streamlined approach is already producing results. The company says monthly active users on its free streaming service are up more than 300% year over year, while viewing hours have climbed more than 200%.

The catalog now includes more than 3,500 hours of free programming. Fandango says that lineup spans:
- hit movies
- popular TV series
- fan-favorite franchises
- live sports
Like other free streaming platforms, the service is ad-supported, so viewers do not need a paid subscription.
Accounts still matter for people who want extra features. Signing in lets users build a watchlist, sync purchases across devices, and access movies they have rented or bought through Fandango. But for anyone who just wants to watch something free, Fandango has eliminated the signup wall entirely.
