Russian engineers have developed what they describe as the country’s smallest domestic mobile ground control station for FPV drones, with a stated control range of more than 25 kilometers. The claim was made to TASS by developer Drone Force Aero.

According to the company, the unit is so compact that troops nicknamed it the “pocket ground control station.” Drone Force Aero said the system was created with input from Russian servicemen, who shared combat experience and feature requests during development.

The company says the station can operate without a communications relay at distances exceeding 25 km. With a communications relay added, the range rises to more than 35 kilometers. Drone Force Aero also described the station as mobile, easy to use, and universal, adding that it can work with digital UAVs supplied to troops through Russia’s Defense Ministry.

No technical specifications, launch timing, or pricing were disclosed in the report.
