Samsung has begun selling its Freestyle+ portable projector in the US, pricing it at $1,200. The device can project an image of up to 100 inches at Full HD resolution, and it can be powered by an external battery over USB-C, making it a more flexible option for travel and camping.
The projector includes a set of AI-based features, including automatic 3D keystone correction, image adaptation, and surface calibration. According to the source, that allows it to display a proper image even when projecting onto uneven walls.
Maximum brightness is listed at 430 ISO lumens, with support for PurColor and HDR10+. Audio comes from built-in speakers with 360-degree coverage and two passive subwoofers. Users can also connect compatible Wi-Fi speakers or soundbars that support Q-Symphony.
The Freestyle+ runs Tizen and supports major streaming services, cloud gaming platforms, and wireless screen casting from smartphones and other devices.
That combination of portability, built-in smart TV software, and auto-correction features puts Samsung’s latest projector squarely at buyers who want a large-screen setup away from a living room wall.
