Samsung will hold its summer Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22, where the company is expected to unveil its next wave of foldables and wearables.
In its announcement, Samsung said it will introduce new Galaxy products that build on its lead in foldables, combining “intelligent capabilities and new form factors” for more personal and adaptive experiences. The timing also puts Samsung’s event just ahead of Apple’s usual fall launch window, as rumors continue to swirl around a foldable iPhone in September.
The biggest attention is likely to fall on foldables. CNET says Samsung is expected to refresh the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, likely with updated processors and other small changes, while shifting to the 8 branding for the new generation. But the more unusual rumor is a wider foldable model, possibly called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, with a 7.6-inch inner display and a 4:3 aspect ratio. That would make it better suited to video than the near-1:1 inner screen on the Z Fold 7. A more standard-sized version could reportedly be renamed Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Samsung could also share more about its Galaxy XR Glasses, developed with Google, Warby Parker, and Gentle Monster. Google already showed Samsung’s upcoming glasses at I/O earlier this summer, but key details such as price and release timing are still missing. CNET notes the glasses will include cameras and microphones, likely for interacting with Google’s Gemini AI.

On wearables, rumors point to a Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2. The Watch Ultra 2 is said to be getting an 800 mAh battery, which would make it the largest battery on any Wear OS watch. Both new watches are also rumored to feature updated processors and refreshed designs.
As for the Galaxy Ring 2, CNET says Forbes reported Samsung has confirmed it is in development. Still, the device probably won’t launch at this month’s Unpacked. A teaser is possible, but a full debut may wait until CES at the start of 2027 or Mobile World Congress shortly after.
Samsung will livestream the event on its website and YouTube channel starting at 2 p.m. BST on July 22, which is 9 a.m. ET and 6 a.m. PT.
