watchOS 27 beta 4 arrives for developers

Apple has released the fourth developer beta of watchOS 27, arriving two weeks after beta 3.

Developers can download the update through the Watch app on iPhone with a free developer account. To install it, the Apple Watch must be on its charger, connected to Wi‑Fi, and have at least 50 percent battery.

According to MacRumors, the beta is available for all Apple Watch models that support watchOS 27, except the Apple Watch Ultra 3.

The update includes Siri AI, Apple’s more capable version of Siri. On Apple Watch, it supports back-and-forth conversations and can use general world knowledge along with personal data to answer questions and surface information. That feature requires an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, including the iPhone 15 Pro and later.

Other watchOS 27 changes include a new Dynamic app grid with Siri-suggested apps, improved Smart Stack Suggestions, and support for finding a parked car, viewing pinned messages, getting noise alerts, and accessing identity and transit cards. Apple has also updated Liquid Glass to improve legibility.

Workout Buddy now works on Apple Watch even when an iPhone is not nearby, and it adds new metrics such as progressive increases to distance, pace, or duration. Apple also introduced a unified Find My app with Precision Finding support, along with performance optimizations aimed at improving battery life.
