Yandex Music adds shared radio for two listeners
Yandex Music has launched a two-person version of My Wave for Yandex Plus subscribers across mobile, desktop, and the web.

Yandex Music has introduced “My Wave for Two,” a new feature that builds a single stream of music recommendations for two users at once. Available to Yandex Plus subscribers, the tool combines each listener’s preferences to surface tracks that may appeal to both people, alongside songs that could be a new discovery for one of them.
According to the company, the feature runs on a new recommendation system based on the ARGUS generative model. The algorithms first create separate selections for each user, then merge those results into a shared playlist.
Yandex says joint listening will not affect each person’s personal recommendations. In individual profiles, only explicit feedback such as likes and dislikes is taken into account, while listening history from the shared wave remains private.
To start a shared wave, users need to open the relevant section in the Yandex Music app and send an invitation to a second user. Once the other person joins, the shared selection appears in both participants' libraries, where it can also be renamed.
The feature is available in the mobile app, desktop version, and web interface of the service.
