AI literacy is quickly shifting from a resume bonus to a standard job requirement. According to hh.ru, more than 21,600 job listings on the platform in the first half of the year explicitly asked for candidates with AI skills.
The biggest share of those openings was for designers and artists, at 16%. Next came SMM and content managers at 11%, alongside marketing and internet marketing specialists, also at 11%. After that were sales and client managers at 5%, and programmers and developers at 5%.
The rest of the list shows how broadly the requirement is spreading:
- Secretaries — 4%
- Copywriters, editors, and proofreaders — 3%
- Data scientists, teachers, camera operators, and video editors — 2% each
That lines up with what is already happening inside workplace software. Generative AI is now built into office suites, design tools, and advertising platforms, making AI know-how increasingly comparable to skills like Excel or Figma.

For job seekers, the shift is straightforward: more roles will require practical experience with AI, and employers are likely to focus less on whether someone has merely tried the tools and more on whether they can turn them into faster work and better business results.
