Samsung has struck a deal with Amazon to promote Amazon Music across its devices. The app will be preinstalled on millions of selected Samsung smartphones and tablets worldwide, and will also be distributed through the Galaxy Store.
For Samsung, the move adds another service to its device ecosystem. For Amazon, it opens a direct path to a large Android user base. Customers who download the app from the Galaxy Store are being offered three months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free.
That plan includes a catalog of more than 100 million tracks, along with Ultra HD and Spatial Audio. In some countries, the offer will also include one Audible audiobook per month. After the trial period, the subscription will cost $12.99 per month.

Samsung has not said which specific models will ship with Amazon Music out of the box. It also has not published a full list of markets where the free trial promotion will be available.
The scale of the deal stands out because of Samsung’s size. According to IDC, the company remained the world’s largest smartphone vendor and shipped more than 220 million devices in 2024. For Amazon Music, that creates a clear opportunity to gain ground in a market led by Spotify and Apple Music.
Samsung has previously done a similar deal with Spotify on Galaxy devices, suggesting the company is no longer sticking to a single music partner.
