DeepSeek chats surfaced in Google search results
Public DeepSeek chat links were indexed by Google, exposing shared conversations in search. No personal data was found in the indexed chats.

Some DeepSeek user conversations have started appearing in Google search results after the Chinese AI service’s public chat links were indexed.
The issue was first highlighted by Kommersant. DeepSeek has not yet issued an official comment on the potential data exposure.
DeepSeek includes a feature that lets users create a public link to a specific conversation and share it with others. When that option is enabled, the service warns that anyone with the link will be able to see the contents of the chat and advises users to check it for confidential information first.

According to the report, the conversations found by Google did not contain users' personal data. The service also did not allow documents from those chats to be downloaded. Still, visitors to the open pages could send a new prompt and continue the conversation with the chatbot.
The indexed pages did not provide access to user accounts or to private query history. DeepSeek is a Chinese AI system and family of large language models, developed by the company of the same name, and focused on text analysis, processing and generation, as well as complex logic, math and programming tasks.
