Dreame is making a surprising debut in the smartphone arena, launching multiple unconventional devices at once. Beyond phones, the company plans to roll out smart rings, action cameras, and even electric vehicles.

Two new smartphone lines stand out. The first targets the mainstream market and features a detachable camera module equipped with a large 1-inch sensor. Uniquely, this module connects via Wi-Fi and operates completely wirelessly.

This setup echoes Sony’s camera lenses but differs from other removable camera solutions by cutting the cord entirely. This wireless flexibility lets users frame shots from different angles and even capture multiple simultaneous video feeds-including main and auxiliary footage-using a single phone.

The second line enters the ultra-premium territory, handcrafted using traditional jewelry techniques and adorned with precious stones and gold inlays.

Priced between $10,000 and $15,000 depending on materials and bespoke craftsmanship, these luxury smartphones compete in the rarefied space once occupied by brands like Vertu.

One prototype features mechanical clockwork embedded in the rear panel-a nod to luxury phones' history. Dreame seems poised to offer many extravagant design variations within this lineup.

Underpinning both handset lines is Dreame’s custom AI chip, Chixiao 01, boasting a hefty 200 TOPS (trillions of operations per second). That’s more than double the peak AI performance of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite, which hits around 80 TOPS.

The Chixiao 01 will power Dreame’s luxury smartphones and devices with the detachable camera, promising strong AI capabilities for photography, video, and other smart features.

Dreame’s move comes amid a smartphone market dominated by giants like Apple, Samsung, and Google, all focusing on camera improvements and AI integration-yet few, if any, offer truly wireless detachable camera modules or jewelry-inspired ultra-premium designs. Dreame’s audacious approach could carve out unique niches.

With launches expected soon, watching how consumers respond to Dreame’s blend of high-concept hardware and luxury craftsmanship will be interesting. Will wireless detachable cameras find a foothold, or will the ultra-premium phones appeal to traditional luxury buyers? Either way, Dreame is betting big on bold design and AI muscle to make a splash beyond the usual smartphone crowd.
