Geely undercuts rivals with 578 hp EV sedan at $29,000
Geely has opened presales for the Galaxy TT Ultra in China at 209,800 yuan for the first 999 units, targeting the Xiaomi SU7 head-on.

Geely has opened presales for the Galaxy TT Ultra, an electric sedan aimed squarely at the Xiaomi SU7. In China, pricing starts at 209,800 yuan — roughly $29,000 — but that figure applies only to the first 999 cars.
According to the source, that makes the car unusually aggressive for China’s electric sedan market: all-wheel drive, 578 hp, and a feature set that many competitors reserve for pricier trims. For Xiaomi, that is a direct challenge, since price and performance have been among the SU7's core selling points.
Built on an 800-volt platform, the Galaxy TT Ultra does 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h. Its 75.2 kWh battery delivers up to 650 km of range on the CLTC cycle, while 6C charging takes it from 10% to 80% in 11.6 minutes.
The sedan is also large: 4,999 mm long with a 2,920 mm wheelbase. Exterior highlights include frameless doors, an active rear spoiler, roof-mounted lidar, and active shutters in the front bumper.

Inside, Geely has loaded it with screens:
- a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster
- a 15.4-inch infotainment display
- a 25.6-inch augmented-reality head-up display
The Flyme Auto 2 system supports Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, and Carlink, with voice control handled by the EVA assistant. Other features include a 23-speaker Flyme Sound audio system, 50 W wireless charging, and 256-color ambient lighting.
Passenger comfort is another focus. The front and rear seats get heating, ventilation, and massage, rear passengers get folding tables, and the cabin includes a 5.2-liter refrigerator. Total cargo capacity reaches 528 liters, including the front trunk.
Driver assistance and Geely’s next launch
Driver-assistance hardware includes the NVIDIA Thor-U chip, lidar, and the Qianli Haohan H7 system. The car can drive in city and highway autonomous modes, change lanes on voice command, brake in emergencies, and avoid obstacles. Geely also says the suspension uses CCD electronically controlled dampers to smooth rough roads.
The launch may be part of a broader push upmarket. On 24 July, Geely is set to unveil the flagship Galaxy Battleship 700 SUV, which the source says will have four motors, 1,129 hp, and satellite connectivity.
