Huawei may pack 10,000mAh into a new midrange phone
A leak points to a Huawei phone for China with a 10,000mAh battery, 6.84-inch OLED display, and a possible Kirin 8020 chip.

Huawei is reportedly preparing a new midrange smartphone for the Chinese market with a 10,000mAh battery — an unusually large cell for this segment. If the leak is accurate, it would be the largest battery ever used in a Huawei smartphone, topping even the Enjoy 90 Pro Max and its 8,500mAh pack.
According to the leak, the device will feature a 6.84-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 50MP main camera, and a Series 8 chip. The source suggests it could be the Kirin 8020, though the chipset has not been confirmed.
The leak also links the phone to the Nova 16 SE lineup. Separately, insider Fixed Focus Digital says Huawei is working on a new Nova SE-branded device that could join the Nova 16 family and include the company’s first-generation multispectral sensor. Pricing is said to fall between 2,000 yuan and 3,000 yuan, or roughly $300 to $450.
There is still some uncertainty around where this handset fits. In the current lineup, only one Nova 16z model uses the Kirin 8020, while the Enjoy 90 series runs on Kirin 8000 variants. That leaves open the possibility that this is either the Nova 16 SE or a higher-end Enjoy 90 model with a much larger battery.
Huawei has leaned heavily on battery life in recent years, especially in phones aimed at China. If it does ship a 10,000mAh handset, the real test will not just be endurance, but how Huawei handles thickness, weight, and price.
