Lenovo has formally previewed the Legion C700, a portable gaming console designed for cloud gaming rather than running games locally. That means it does not need a powerful processor or large amounts of memory to play modern titles.

The company has shared only a partial spec sheet so far. Lenovo says the device will feature a 7.82-inch IPS display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, along with Hall sensors and magnetic sensors for the controls.

As previously reported, the handheld is built to work with Tencent Start, the company’s cloud gaming service. Because cloud-focused consoles do not require high-end internal hardware, Lenovo’s new device could end up costing significantly less than full-featured portable gaming systems.
