MSI adds an all-black RTX 5080 for small-form-factor builds
MSI quietly launched the GeForce RTX 5080 Inspire 3X Black, a compact, all-black card aimed at SFF-ready systems.

MSI has quietly expanded its GeForce RTX 5080 lineup with the Inspire 3X Black. The point here is not raw performance, but packaging: this is a fully black version of an already compact card, built to fit more easily into SFF-Ready systems and smaller PC cases.
Compared with the standard Inspire 3X, MSI appears to have changed only the look. Aside from white lettering on the shroud, the rest of the card keeps the same understated design and dimensions: under three slots thick, 288 mm long, and weighing 950 g.
For an RTX 5080, those are relatively restrained dimensions. Many custom variants are noticeably thicker and longer, while MSI’s model stays comparatively compact. The company has also added a small factory overclock and includes a support bracket in the box, even though the card itself does not appear especially heavy.
That puts the new model squarely into a familiar market trend: fitting a flagship GPU into mini-ITX and small-form-factor builds. Similar compact RTX 5080 cards have already been shown by Asus and PNY, but MSI’s blacked-out design may make this version easier to blend into builds without bright accents.
