SanDisk launches USB-C flash drives up to 256GB
SanDisk’s new CZB USB-C flash drives offer up to 256GB and read speeds up to 250MB/s, with US pricing starting at $20.

SanDisk has introduced a new CZB lineup of USB-C flash drives aimed at modern smartphones, tablets, and laptops that increasingly ship without classic USB-A ports.
The new drives use a USB-C connector and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface with bandwidth of up to 5 Gbit/s. Sequential read speeds reach 250 MB/s, which SanDisk says is enough for quickly moving photos, documents, and large files. For running video directly from external storage, though, an external SSD remains the better fit, according to the source.
The SanDisk CZB series comes in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB versions. According to SanDisk, the top-end model can hold about 60,000 photos, though the actual number depends on file size.
Physically, the drive measures 49.3 x 20.6 x 11.7 mm and weighs about 6 g. The casing also includes a loop for attaching it to a keychain or strap.
