HMD Global has opened preorders for the Nokia 300 4G Power Bank, a basic feature phone built around one idea: long battery life, minimal extras, and the ability to top up other devices. The handset is already on sale in the Philippines.

The pitch is straightforward. This is a rugged backup phone for travel, work away from the office, or long days without access to a charger. The article frames it as a successor in spirit to durable older models such as the Nokia 800 Tough and HMD Terra M.

Key specs include:

  • 2.4-inch QVGA display
  • 3,700 mAh battery
  • Charging up to 18W
  • Reverse wired charging up to 5W
  • IP65 protection with a non-slip finish
  • microSD support up to 32 GB
  • 4G, FM radio, and a 0.3 MP basic camera
  • Colors: black, green, and gold

One unusual detail is the flashlight. HMD says it is five times brighter than the flashlights on typical feature phones, and even more powerful than the flash on the iPhone 16 Pro. For this class of device, that is more than a gimmick, since rugged phones are often used with the flashlight as a core feature rather than a backup extra.

According to Gizmochina, the box also includes a 4-in-1 cable with multiple adapters. The phone itself runs a lightweight platform focused mainly on calls, SMS, and FM radio.

Preorders in the Philippines are live through Shopee at 1,990 Philippine pesos, or about $32.
