Oppo may push Find X10 Pro Max to the top

Oppo’s next Find X10 lineup may already be changing before launch. A new leak suggests the company is reworking not just screen sizes and chipsets, but the structure of the range itself, with a new Find X10 Pro Max potentially taking the top spot.

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, Oppo is now considering a 6.78-inch flat display for the Find X10 Pro Max, with 1.5K resolution and very narrow, symmetrical bezels. The source says this is enabled by LIPO technology, which has become increasingly common in Chinese flagships as brands compete on ever-thinner display borders.

The biggest shift in the leak is not the bezel design, but a step back from earlier expectations. The model was previously said to use a 6.89-inch 2K panel, but the latest report points to a smaller screen and lower resolution. Even so, the phone is said to feature a 2 nm Dimensity 9600 Pro and a triple 200-megapixel camera setup: a main camera using a large Samsung HPC sensor, an ultrawide module, and a periscope telephoto.

The leak also claims the standard Find X10 and Find X10 Pro will launch together. The base model is tipped to get a 6.59-inch 1.5K display and a Dimensity 9600 Lite, described as an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9500. The Find X10 Pro is again linked to a 6.78-inch 1.5K panel and Dimensity 9600 Pro, suggesting the top-end model would be differentiated not just by cameras, but by its overall platform tier.

The main shift is at the top of the range. Instead of the usual structure, Oppo may be moving to a more layered lineup where Pro Max replaces, or at least overshadows, an expected Find X10 Ultra.

That would be more than a cosmetic rename. Based on the leaked specs, Oppo appears to be positioning the Pro Max alongside its most expensive phones and those of its major Chinese rivals, using a 2 nm chip and a camera system built around three 200-megapixel sensors.

The reported display reduction also fits a familiar pattern in flagship development. Screen size and resolution often change after internal testing if a company needs to balance thickness, battery life, or cost.

In China’s premium smartphone segment, brands such as Xiaomi, Vivo, and Honor have repeatedly split base, Pro, and Ultra models by chipset, display, and charging speed to give each version a clearer role. If this leak is accurate, Oppo is following the same playbook while adding another rung with the Pro Max label.

The status of the Find X10 Ultra remains unclear. The source does not explicitly say the model has been canceled, but suggests the Pro Max could take over as the flagship of the series. If that happens, Oppo would both simplify the range and leave room for an even more expensive device later. For now, according to the leak, the final Find X10 lineup could still change more than once before its official debut.
