Pixel 11a leak points to a Tensor G6 upgrade
A new leak says Google may give the Pixel 11a a Tensor G6 instead of recycling an older chip, with a newer modem and brighter display.

Google may be reversing one of the Pixel 10a’s biggest compromises. According to Mystic Leaks, the upcoming Pixel 11a will use the Tensor G6, bringing the a-series back to a current-generation processor after the Pixel 10a shipped with the older Tensor G4 instead of the Tensor G5 used in the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro.
That would be a notable shift for Google’s midrange line, which has typically kept the latest processor while cutting costs elsewhere. The leak says the Tensor G6 will use the same PowerVR DXT-48-1536 GPU rumored for the G5, but it should still outperform the Mali-G715 in the Tensor G4.
The bigger change may be the modem. The Tensor G6 is said to drop Samsung’s Exynos modem in favor of a MediaTek M90. If accurate, that could address two long-running Tensor complaints: battery drain and dropped signals.

Other rumored specs are more modest. The Pixel 11a is expected to carry a 4,870mAh battery, down slightly from the 5,000mAh cell in the 10a, though efficiency gains from the new chip could keep battery life flat or even improve it. The phone is also expected to keep its 6.3-inch 1080 x 2424 display with a variable 60Hz to 120Hz refresh rate, while boosting peak brightness to 3,350 nits from 3,000 nits on the 10a.
