Realme brings 8,000mAh Narzo 100x 5G to India

Realme’s new Narzo 100x 5G pairs an 8,000mAh battery with a 144Hz display, starting at 20,999 rupees in India.

Realme has launched the Narzo 100x 5G in India, putting two headline specs front and center: an 8,000mAh battery and a 144Hz display. That refresh rate is still unusual in this segment, where 90Hz and 120Hz panels are far more common.

The company is positioning the phone between affordable 5G handsets and endurance-focused devices. Realme calls the battery its Titan Battery and says users can get up to three days away from a charger, with more than 80% capacity retained after four years or around 1,600 cycles.

Despite the large battery, the phone is not especially bulky on paper: it measures 8.8mm thick and weighs 224 grams. Charging is rated at 45W, and the device also supports 27W wired reverse charging and bypass charging, which routes power directly while gaming to reduce heat and battery wear.

Key specs include:

  • 6.8-inch LCD display
  • HD+ resolution
  • 144Hz refresh rate
  • Up to 1,200 nits peak brightness
  • MediaTek Dimensity 6300
  • LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage
  • 5,300mm² vapor chamber cooling
  • 50MP rear camera and 8MP front camera
  • Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0
  • IP65, Wi‑Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.3

There are tradeoffs. The large 6.8-inch panel uses HD+ rather than Full HD+, a choice that should help battery life but makes the 144Hz display feel more like a marketing hook than a must-have feature. The Dimensity 6300 is also a familiar entry-level 5G chip, not a gaming-first processor, which helps explain Realme’s emphasis on cooling.

Camera hardware is relatively straightforward, but the phone does add an AI Pulse Light notification light on the back.

In India, pricing is set at:

  • 4GB + 128GB — 20,999 rupees
  • 6GB + 128GB — 22,999 rupees
  • 6GB + 256GB — 24,999 rupees

The phone will be sold in Midnight Black and Flash Orange. The 4GB RAM base model may be the toughest sell, especially for a device launching with Android 16, while the 6GB versions look better aligned with Realme’s pitch of a phone built to last.
