Samsung is expanding its July security update for the Galaxy S26 lineup beyond South Korea. The patch is now reaching Europe and India, with Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra owners getting fixes for 57 vulnerabilities.
The update carries firmware version S94xBXXS4AZG5 and is about 500MB in size. There are no new features here; this is a standard security release aimed at patching vulnerabilities in Android and Samsung’s own software components.
For Samsung’s Galaxy S flagships, monthly security patches are typical, while some mid-range models are updated on a quarterly schedule. Users can check for the update in Settings → Software update. Samsung also recommends charging the phone to at least 30% before installation.

The rollout also highlights a familiar pattern in the Android market: Google typically pushes patches to Pixel devices almost immediately after publishing its security bulletin, while Samsung has improved its pace in recent years and often starts releasing updates in Europe just days after South Korea.
