Redmi Note 17 Pro Max surfaces in NBTC filing

The global Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G has appeared in a certification database for the first time, moving the device beyond rumor and fan speculation. Thailand’s NBTC has approved two global models in the lineup: Redmi Note 17 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G.

The phones are listed under model numbers 26081RA18G and 2609FRA74G. The filing does not reveal any specifications, but it does confirm the product names ahead of an international launch. That is the first concrete sign yet that Xiaomi plans to ship a Pro Max variant globally.

Interest in the model had been building even before the NBTC filing. After the China debut of the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro, some had questioned whether a third model would ship at all. This certification is the first official confirmation that a global Redmi Note 17 Pro Max exists.

According to leaks cited by the source, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is expected to include:

Sources also say the global version may get a smaller 9,210mAh battery. For the standard Redmi Note 17, the reported global specs point to Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, 45W charging, and a 7,700mAh battery instead of the 8,000mAh unit in the Chinese version.

That suggests Xiaomi may be preparing more than a simple export version, with noticeable differences between regions as it competes with realme, vivo, and Samsung in the big-battery, 1.5K display segment.
