AGR Holding says it has started production of the Tenet A8 at the former Toyota factory in Shushary, St. Petersburg. The line is operating on a full-cycle basis, including welding, painting, and final assembly.

The Shushary site is now building cars for three brands created through a partnership between Russia’s AGR and China’s Defetoo: Jeland, Esteo, and Tenet.

The Tenet A8 is positioned as the brand’s flagship business sedan and was announced in early July 2026. It will be offered with two turbocharged gasoline engines:

  • 2.0-liter, 197 hp
  • 1.6-liter, 150 hp

The sedan measures 4757 x 1832 x 1469 mm and has a 2770 mm wheelbase. The model is based on the Chinese Chery Arrizo 8, but for the Russian market it gets an expanded winter package.
