Roblox says it will bring AI-generated game creation to smartphones and tablets later this year with a new feature called Build.

Build is designed to turn natural language prompts into interactive experiences, giving Roblox users a mobile-first way to make games for the first time. The company says the toolset uses a mix of open-source and proprietary AI models.

Roblox will begin public alpha access for Build in the Philippines on July 28, with additional regions planned in the coming months. According to the company, users must be age 9 and up to use the Build tools.

If a creation passes Roblox’s safety checks and is published, it will be available globally to users 16 and older.

The rollout comes as Roblox continues to refine its age-based safeguards. Its age verification system had a troubled early reception, though the company launched restricted account tiers last month.
