RTX 50 Super cards are already with an Nvidia partner

Videocardz says at least one Nvidia partner already has GeForce RTX 50 Super cards, but higher GDDR7 memory prices are delaying launch.

At least one Nvidia board partner has already received GeForce RTX 50 Super graphics cards, according to Videocardz. But that does not mean a launch is close: the report says Nvidia is not planning to release the cards yet because of rising memory prices.

The source says the cards physically exist at one partner, although it is unclear which company has them. As described in earlier leaks, the RTX 50 Super lineup is expected to ship with more memory than the standard models by using 3GB GDDR7 chips instead of the current 2GB chips.

That would bring the following memory configurations:

  • RTX 5070 Super: 18GB instead of 12GB
  • RTX 5070 Ti Super: 24GB
  • RTX 5080 Super: 24GB

The problem, according to the report, is cost. Memory has become significantly more expensive overall, and the new 3GB chips reportedly cost three times more than 2GB chips. That makes the price-to-capacity ratio twice as bad, which in turn would push retail prices well above where these cards would otherwise be expected to land.
