Samsung has widened its Bespoke AI Top-Mount Freezer Refrigerator range in India with new compact models aimed at smaller households and tighter kitchens. The new units sit below 300L, with fresh variants in 236L and 256L sizes, and Samsung is pairing the size push with AI, app control, and connected features for buyers looking for a more premium compact fridge.
SmartThings control and AI Energy Mode
Some of the new models include Wi-Fi and SmartThings support, which means users can check notifications and control the refrigerator from phones, tablets, smartwatches, TVs, and smart speakers. The connectivity also enables software updates, so this is one of those rare home appliances that may keep getting nudges after purchase instead of aging into silence.
Samsung is also leaning on practical features rather than just software buzzwords. Every model gets AI Energy Mode, Power Cool for quick fridge cooling, and Power Freeze for the freezer. There is also a Cool Pack inside the freezer that can reportedly keep food cold for up to 12 hours during a power cut or another interruption – still a very Indian selling point, and a smart one.

Design-wise, Samsung says the new lineup uses flat doors for a more modern look, which is hardly a radical move but does help the fridge look less like a utility box and more like something you might actually want in an open kitchen. All of the new models carry a 3-star energy efficiency rating under the 2026-2028 Bureau of Energy Efficiency standards.

The real question is how much of this package will move the needle in a price-sensitive category. Samsung is clearly betting that compact size, connected features, and power-cut resilience can justify a premium over basic top-mount fridges, and that sounds more convincing than another vague “smart home” pitch.
