Samsung Unpacked starts July 22 at 9AM ET

Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event is set for July 22nd at 9AM ET / 6AM PT, with the company hosting the show in London on an invite-only basis. If you’re watching from home, the livestream will be available on Samsung’s website and its YouTube channel.

Samsung is widely expected to focus on its next foldables. Based on leaks and rumors cited by The Verge, the company has teased a “new shape” for its foldable lineup, which is expected to mean a wider Galaxy Z Fold 8. Leaker Evan Blass has shared images of what appears to be the device, showing a passport-like form factor when folded and a larger display when opened.

According to Blass’s leak, Samsung may also introduce a Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra that keeps the Galaxy Z Fold 7's slim, tall design while adding a 5,000mAh battery rated for up to 27 hours of video playback.

The rumored Galaxy Z Flip 8 also appeared in the leaked materials, with a 4,300mAh battery and an unchanged camera system: a 10MP front-facing camera, plus 50MP wide and 12MP ultrawide lenses on the back.

Wearables are also expected to be part of the event. Another leak from Blass points to a new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 that could be 12 percent thinner than the current model, with a Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, a larger 800mAh battery, and a brighter display reaching 5,000 nits. The Galaxy Watch 9 is also rumored to arrive with a familiar design and the same chip.

Samsung may also share more about its upcoming AI-powered smart glasses, which are expected to launch this fall with designs from Warby Parker and Gentle Monster.
