Samsung slipped a Spider-Man cameo into today’s Galaxy Unpacked event, using the superhero to pitch the durability of its new foldable phone.

Ahead of the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day at the end of July, the company played a video montage of the many phones Spider-Man destroys while saving New York City. The punchline: Samsung’s latest foldable is apparently built to survive better.

The superhero himself was notably silent in the clip, suggesting Tom Holland was not part of the appearance. Instead, his friend Ned Leeds, played by Jacob Batalon, took over the demo duties.

Batalon also appeared live on the Unpacked stage in London to show off the new device.

The segment ended with Spider-Man himself — or at least someone in a Spider-Man suit — making a brief appearance to close things out.
