VK says its VK app and Max messenger have disappeared from Google Play, adding that Max had already been removed from the App Store earlier. The company said apps that are already installed continue to work normally, with no restrictions.
VK also said users can still install VK and Max on Android through alternative app stores including RuStore, Huawei AppGallery, Samsung Galaxy Store, Xiaomi GetApps, and others. App updates are also continuing to work as usual, according to the company.
The company added that Android users will keep receiving push notifications for messages, events, and calls in Max and VK.
