Samsung has launched two new home speakers in India: Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7. The pitch is straightforward — wireless connectivity, spatial audio, and a design that aims to look more at home in a living room than a typical black box. Both models support Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth 6.0, and Dolby Atmos.
Samsung is entering a crowded segment that already includes Sonos, Bose, and JBL. It also has to avoid overlapping too heavily with its own soundbars, which are already tied closely to the company’s TV ecosystem. So the new speakers arrive with SmartThings, Q-Symphony, and features aimed at households that already use Samsung TVs, soundbars, or smartphones.
The Music Studio 7 is the larger model, built around a 3.1.1-channel setup with front, center, and up-firing drivers. Samsung says it includes Audio Lab Pattern Control Technology for more precise sound direction and AI Dynamic Bass Control for stronger low frequencies with less distortion. It also has HDMI and an optical input, so it can be connected beyond wireless playback.
The more compact Music Studio 5 uses a 2.0-channel configuration with a woofer, two tweeters, and a waveguide. It also gets AI Dynamic Bass Control, while connectivity includes an optical input.

Both speakers support AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Roon Ready, making them usable as standard streaming speakers rather than only inside Samsung’s ecosystem. They also support Dolby Audio, Dolby Digital Plus, and Eclipsa Audio for home theater use.
Other built-in features include:
- Active Voice Amplifier Pro
- Auto Volume
- SpaceFit Sound Pro
- Voice Enhance Mode
- Spotify Tap
- Wireless Dolby Atmos
Through SmartThings, users can control playback, group multiple speakers, and adjust settings from one app. Q-Symphony lets up to five compatible Samsung audio devices work together with a TV.
A notable part of Samsung’s pitch is the look of the hardware itself. The speaker enclosures were designed by French designer Erwan Bouroullec, underscoring that Samsung is selling these as interior objects as much as audio gear.
Pricing and availability
- Music Studio 5: from 27,900 rupees, or 24,900 rupees as a promotional price
- Music Studio 7: 39,990 rupees
- Launch market: India
- Sales status: available now
At those prices, Samsung is stepping into a premium category already packed with Wi‑Fi speakers and home audio systems — and competing not just with rivals, but with its own TV and soundbar lineup.
