VK has reached an agreement to sell the RuStore app store to the management of the company that develops the platform. The buyer of 100% of the shares will be Dmitry Pankrushev, CEO of the platform’s developer, according to VK’s press service.

After the deal closes, the RuStore team will continue its work, the company said. It plans to keep shipping updates, expand the platform’s capabilities, and maintain stable service for users, developers, and partners.

The parties did not disclose other details of the transaction, including its financial terms or the timeline for closing.

RuStore was created by VK, formerly Mail.ru Group, under the patronage of Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development. The app catalog launched in May 2022, and in early February 2023 it exited beta testing.
