Xiaomi has refreshed its Bluetooth Speaker C lineup in China with a new purple finish, but there are no hardware changes. The speaker is priced at 299 yuan — about $44 — and is already available for pre-order.
The product itself remains the same: a compact cylindrical speaker with a fabric exterior, a carrying strap, and IP68 dust and water resistance. Xiaomi is also leaning on wireless features, including Bluetooth 6.0, TWS pairing for two speakers, and Auracast support.
Key specs include:
- Weight: 415 g
- Height: just over 20 cm
- Driver: one 18W full-range unit
- Passive radiators: two, one internal and one external
- Frequency range: 75 Hz–20 kHz
- Signal-to-noise ratio: at least 95 dB
- Battery: 2600 mAh
- Battery life: up to 14 hours at 40% volume with lighting off
Lighting is also part of the package. The speaker has light rings on the top and bottom that can sync with music and switch between Ripple, Beat, and Constant-On modes. Colors and modes are changed using physical buttons on the body, and a built-in microphone lets the speaker double as a speakerphone for calls.

For now, the purple version has only been announced for China. On the global market, the Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker C is already sold in white and green, making this latest addition look more like a demand-refresh tactic than a sign of any hardware update.
