Marshall has unveiled a limited-edition Acton III Bluetooth speaker to mark 60 years since Jimi Hendrix first plugged into one of the brand’s amplifiers. The internals are unchanged, but the exterior leans heavily into the musician’s stage aesthetic.
The Acton III Hendrix 60th Anniversary Edition is wrapped in embossed velour. Its side panel features the “Eye of God” symbol, while the color palette draws on the psychedelic, cosmic look often associated with Hendrix’s later years.
On audio hardware, this is the same Acton III. It includes:

Oura Ring 5 stays ahead with sharper software
- 1 × 30W subwoofer
- 2 × 15W tweeters
- Outward-angled high-frequency drivers and a waveguide designed to widen the soundstage
- Bluetooth 5.2 with Auracast support
- 3.5mm wired input
Other published specs include 260 × 170 × 150 mm dimensions, 2.85 kg weight, a 45 Hz — 20,000 Hz frequency range, and maximum sound pressure of 97 dB at 1 m. Controls are handled through onboard knobs and the Marshall app for iOS and Android.
Marshall is also positioning the special edition as a greener product. The speaker contains no PVC, is built almost entirely from recycled plastic, and uses vegan materials.
The company has not announced pricing or a release date. For reference, the standard Acton III is already part of Marshall’s lineup, competing in the compact home speaker segment with Bose, Sonos, and Marshall’s own larger speaker systems.
