Yandex plans to open its first urban offline venue, Yandex 01, in November at the Chkalov Gallery on Kursky Rail Terminal Square. The project will span more than 10,000 square meters across three floors, combining technology, cultural venues, educational projects, stores, and leisure areas.
Visitors will get personalized recommendations to help them choose events and build a route through the space based on their interests. According to the announcement, the algorithms will also be able to account for the preferences of people who have never used Yandex services before, analyzing their choices during the visit.
The venue will include spaces for Yandex Music, Kinopoisk, Yandex Education, Yandex Afisha, the Yandex Factory store, an Alice technology showroom, and an interactive Yandex Go zone. It will also house the first store for the Smyslovaya 226 book community, along with a coffee shop and lecture hall. Most events will be free.
