Galaxy S27 Ultra may drop cameras, not redesign
A new leak says Samsung is trimming the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s camera count while keeping the overall design largely unchanged for early 2027.

Samsung’s Galaxy S27 Ultra may end up with fewer cameras, but not the dramatic redesign shown in some recent renders. According to leaker Lanzuk, images circulating online with a horizontal camera layout do not reflect Samsung’s current plans.
The source says Samsung is reviewing several concepts for the phone, but a simple horizontal arrangement of the camera modules is not among the options now under consideration. The company has reportedly not finalized the design yet.
Lanzuk claims Samsung is trying to choose the strongest design while also keeping manufacturing costs down. Even so, the overall look of the Galaxy S27 Ultra is said to remain almost the same. Rather than a major visual overhaul, Samsung is reportedly planning only a slight update to the existing design, with the most notable change being a reduced number of cameras.

The Galaxy S27 family is expected to debut in early 2027. Lanzuk was also among the first to report that Samsung is preparing four models instead of three: Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27 Plus, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra.
