Redmi has introduced the Redmi Note 17, a new budget phone built around two standout specs: a 7-inch OLED display and an 8000mAh battery. The company says the device can last up to 2.3 days on a charge under typical use.

The screen has a resolution of 2396 × 1080, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 1800 nits. It also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, Wet Touch 2.0 for use with wet hands, and a dedicated glove mode.

Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4. Redmi pairs it with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, plus microSD card support up to 2TB.

For cameras, the Redmi Note 17 uses a 50-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera. It runs HyperOS 3, with AI-based protection features including fraud call detection and face-swap recognition during video calls.

The 8000mAh battery supports 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Other features include IP65 protection, NFC, and an infrared blaster.
