Skyworth TV buyer finds 8GB, not 32GB
A Skyworth TV sold on Suning.com in 2023 reportedly had 8GB of storage instead of the advertised 32GB. China’s market regulator is now investigating.

A Skyworth TV bought for $530 on Suning.com is under scrutiny in China after the buyer discovered it had just 8GB of built-in flash storage, not the 32GB listed in its specifications.
The buyer, a resident of Yancheng, purchased the 65-inch TV in September 2023. The issue only surfaced in May 2026, when the set began repeatedly warning that it was running out of free space. After checking the device details, she found that its internal storage was 24GB short of the advertised figure.
After she contacted both Suning.com and Skyworth support, each side reportedly pointed to the other. Skyworth said the model was officially released only in 16GB and 32GB versions, and that an 8GB configuration does not exist at all. Suning.com, for its part, told her to take the matter up directly with the manufacturer.
With no resolution, the customer filed a complaint with the local market supervision authority. She is seeking a full refund for the TV plus compensation worth three times the purchase price. The regulator is now investigating and gathering evidence.
