VK Dating vanishes from App Store, but iPhone access remains
VK Dating has been removed from the App Store, but iPhone users can still add its web app to the Home Screen and keep push alerts working.

VK Dating has been removed from the App Store, cutting off the usual installation path for iPhone users. But the service itself is still available: its web version can be added to the Home Screen and launched much like a standard app. According to the source, like and message notifications also work if users enable them.
To set it up, users need to open Safari and go to the VK Dating page. If the iPhone automatically redirects to the VKontakte app or the existing VK Dating app, close it and return to the browser. Then tap Share at the bottom of the screen, choose Add to Home Screen, and confirm with Add.
Once the shortcut appears, open it from the Home Screen, sign in, and allow push notifications either during login or later in settings. After that, the service will open through its own icon rather than a browser tab.
The source notes that anyone who already has the app installed does not need to delete it. It also recommends checking whether the App Store setting equivalent to Offload Unused Apps is enabled, since iPhone may remove the app automatically when storage runs low. On older devices, that could be especially frustrating, because reinstalling it from Apple’s store is no longer possible.
More broadly, the web version offers a practical fallback: it does not depend on whether Apple lists the app in its catalog, and it remains available even after removals like this.
