Apple may be testing its biggest iPhone yet
A new leak says Apple is testing an iPhone display between 6.96 and 7 inches, which would make it the largest in the lineup.

Apple is reportedly testing an iPhone prototype with a display measuring 6.96 to 7 inches, according to leaker Digital Chat Station. If it reaches production, it would become the largest iPhone Apple has ever shipped.
It is still unclear which model could get that panel. Recent rumors have most often pointed to the iPhone 20 Pro Max, but there is no confirmation. The claim fits Apple’s recent pattern: gradually increasing the screen size of its top-end phones without changing the overall device format. The iPhone 16 Pro Max was the first Apple model to reach 6.9 inches, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max reportedly kept that same size.

There is also a broader design rumor in play. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple may skip iPhone 19 and jump straight to iPhone 20 in 2027 to mark the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone. Those same leaks mention both the iPhone 20 Pro and iPhone 20 Pro Max, with claims that they could use a display with four curved sides.
That would be a noticeable break from the flat-screen look Apple has stuck with in recent years. If the company does move in that direction, its top iPhones would rejoin the race for maximum screen size, where Samsung, Xiaomi, and other Android phone makers have been pushing larger panels for years.
