Caviar has unveiled a new Legends collection tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, turning two flagship phones into high-end collector pieces for fans of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Each version is limited to just 19 units.
That is standard Caviar territory. The Dubai brand has spent years remaking iPhones and Galaxy devices with titanium, gold, carbon fiber, and references to pop culture, politics, and sports. This time, it is leaning on two of the most recognizable football stars of their generation, with a hook that is hard to miss: for many fans, the 2026 tournament could be the last World Cup for both players.
The Messi Edition is based on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, a phone Samsung itself is expected to unveil on July 22. In practice, that makes this a luxury pre-order before the model’s broader debut. The back features a portrait of Messi, his number 10, and Argentine national symbols, with the outlines and frame finished in 24-karat gold.
Caviar uses cloisonné enamel, an old jewelry technique in which colored glass is fired inside thin metal borders. Here, it recreates the white-and-sky-blue colors of Argentina, producing a raised design that looks more like a miniature artwork than a phone back.

The Ronaldo Edition is built on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The same technique is used, but with red and green inspired by Portugal. The rear panel includes a portrait of Ronaldo, his number 7, and the country’s coat of arms set against a geometric background, again framed with 24K gold details.
Pricing and materials
According to the company, the lineup includes:
- Messi Edition: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, from $13,130
- Ronaldo Edition: iPhone 17 Pro, from $11,410
- Materials: cloisonné enamel and 24-karat gold plating
- Run: 19 units of each version
- Box contents: branded box, gold-plated key, and branded coin
Compared with standard flagship phones, the markup is steep. The source notes that regular Samsung Ultra-series foldables and top-end iPhone Pro models cost roughly five to six times less. Buyers here are paying for rarity, hand-finished decoration, and the collectible appeal rather than the hardware itself.
Caviar also mentioned a custom iPhone Ultra themed around Erling Haaland, which it says will ship after Apple’s fall event. That suggests this is not a one-off football drop, but the start of a broader hall-of-fame-style lineup built around famous players and tiny production runs.
