Dell brings three new Alienware laptops to India
Dell has launched the Alienware 16X Aurora, 16 Area-51, and 18 Area-51 in India, with Core Ultra 9 chips and up to RTX 5090 Laptop GPU.

Dell has launched three new Alienware gaming laptops in India: the Alienware 16X Aurora, Alienware 16 Area-51, and Alienware 18 Area-51. The lineup spans several use cases, from a relatively portable 16-inch system to an 18-inch flagship that pushes into desktop-replacement territory with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU.
All three models use Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processors, while higher-end configurations add GeForce RTX 50-series graphics. Dell is entering a crowded premium gaming laptop segment, where Asus, MSI, and Lenovo have already refreshed their flagships with the latest Intel and NVIDIA hardware.
The Alienware 16X Aurora looks like the most balanced option in the range. It features a 16-inch WQXGA OLED display with an anti-glare coating, 240Hz refresh rate, and 0.2ms response time. Dell also lists HDR True Black 500, peak brightness of up to 620 nits in HDR mode, and 120% DCI-P3 color coverage. Buyers can configure it with up to a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU. Dell says it has also updated the Cryo-Chamber cooling system, while F7 Stealth Mode lowers fan noise and switches the keyboard lighting to white.
The Alienware 16 Area-51 moves further up the stack. It keeps the 16-inch WQXGA OLED 240Hz panel with 0.2ms response time, but tops out with an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, 64GB DDR5, and a 2TB SSD. Dell rates the system at up to 240W Total Performance Power, and includes Thunderbolt 5, Wi-Fi 7, a 96Wh battery, and an updated thermal design.
The Alienware 18 Area-51 goes bigger again with an 18-inch WQXGA display, 300Hz refresh rate, and 3ms response time. It offers the same Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and RTX 5090 options, while total system power climbs to 280W. That makes it the most power-hungry and most capable machine in Dell’s new trio.

Pricing and availability
Dell says sales are already underway in India through its official online store and retail channels, including Dell Exclusive Stores, major chains, and marketplaces.
Starting prices are:
- Alienware 16X Aurora: 2,62,990 rupees
- Alienware 16 Area-51: 3,97,960 rupees
- Alienware 18 Area-51: 3,95,200 rupees
Dell is also offering discounts on extended warranties, installment plans, bank cashback offers, and a cheaper Alienware headset for some buyers. At these prices, the real competition is not just other laptops, but whether buyers decide to build a desktop instead.
