Galaxy S26 FE and Tab S12 Surface Early in Google List

Samsung still hasn’t unveiled its fall hardware, but Galaxy S26 FE and Galaxy Tab S12 have already shown up in a Google device list tied to free trial access for the company’s paid AI service. These early appearances have become a familiar pattern: devices often surface in the listing before their official debut, then launch not long after.

According to Android Authority, the same list also includes the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8. That suggests Samsung may be preparing several product lines for the fall rather than relying on a single major launch. The timing is notable, coming in the same week Samsung is preparing an Unpacked event for its new foldables.

Samsung’s approach here is hardly new. The FE line has long sat between lower pricing and near-flagship specs, while Galaxy Tab models typically arrive in multiple versions aimed at different budgets and needs. A fall launch would also fit Samsung’s usual cadence, since last year’s FE S-series phones and tablets arrived at roughly the same time.

Recent leaks suggest the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will keep the series' familiar design, including a V-shaped notch for the front camera. Its dimensions are said to be 326.34 x 208.46 x 5.12 mm, indicating little change to the chassis.

The bigger changes may be internal. The leaked configurations point to:

That update promise would keep Samsung focused on long-term software support as a selling point against the iPad Pro and other high-end Android tablets.

Earlier leaks indicate the Galaxy S26 FE will feature a flat frame, a protruding camera module, and a new Exynos 2500 platform with a 1+2+5+2 core layout. Another detail stands out: industry sources say Samsung may use BOE for the display for the first time on an FE model rather than relying only on its own panels. If that happens, Samsung’s supplier base for this part of the lineup would widen noticeably.

A September launch would make sense given the competitive calendar. Updated tablets and near-flagship phones from Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Honor typically arrive in the fall, leaving Samsung with a relatively narrow window if it wants the FE model and new Tab series in front of buyers before the main sales season.
