Realme has launched the Realme C100x in India, and the pitch is straightforward: this is a budget phone built around battery life and durability, not slimness or camera hardware. For 14,499 Indian rupees, buyers get an 8,000mAh battery, a 120Hz display, and MIL-STD-810H certification.
That combination stands out in this price range. As the source notes, most phones under 15,000 rupees still typically ship with 5,000mAh or 6,000mAh batteries, giving the C100x a clear spec-sheet advantage in a fiercely competitive Indian budget market where Realme, Xiaomi, and Samsung often compete on headline numbers as much as price.
The phone features a 6.8-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 240Hz touch sampling. Peak brightness is rated at 900 nits, with Panda@MN228 protective glass on top. Realme also includes Rain Touch Mode to improve touch response with wet or greasy fingers.

Oppo Reno 16 adds IP69K and a bigger battery
- Display: 6.8-inch, IPS, HD+, 120Hz
- Processor: Unisoc T7250 with Mali-G57 graphics
- Memory: 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage
- microSD: dedicated slot, up to 2TB
- Rear camera: 50MP, f/1.8
- Front camera: 5MP, f/2.2
- Battery: 8,000mAh, 45W charging
- Protection: MIL-STD-810H and IP64
Inside, the compromises are more obvious. The C100x comes in just one 4GB/64GB configuration, which looks modest for 2026, especially as some rivals in the same bracket already offer 128GB storage or 6GB of RAM. Realme tries to offset that with virtual RAM expansion and the dedicated microSD slot, but eMMC 5.1 remains noticeably slower than UFS storage, which is increasingly common even in lower-cost devices.
The phone runs realme UI 7.0 on top of Android 16. Realme highlights AI Outdoor Mode, which adjusts brightness and volume outdoors, and AI Netpilot for improving connection stability in weak-signal areas. Google features such as Gemini and Circle to Search can be triggered with a long press of the power button.
Camera hardware is basic: a single 50MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Software features include portrait mode, night mode, panorama, Dual-view, object removal, and object cutout tools.
Battery, build, and availability
Realme says the 8,000mAh battery supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging and 6W reverse wired charging. The company also claims the battery will retain more than 80% of its original capacity after seven years of regular use.
The chassis is designed around that long-life positioning. The C100x uses an ArmorShell reinforced structure and carries both MIL-STD-810H and IP64 ratings for dust and splash resistance. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a rear Pulse Light LED for notifications and charging status.
The Realme C100x is available in India in a single 4GB/64GB variant for 14,499 rupees. Color options are Deepblue Tides and Golden Coast. In the local market, it will go up against budget models from Redmi, Poco, and Samsung Galaxy M—but on paper, the 8,000mAh battery is the spec most likely to get attention.
