Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater P1 Human Sensing Edition, a new smart bathroom heater launching in China through crowdfunding at 999 yuan — about $145.
The device includes a 24GHz radar that detects human presence and can automatically control lighting, ventilation, and heating. According to the company, the sensor’s sensitivity and range adjust to the size of the room. The heater also supports Xiaomi Surge Smart Connect, allowing it to work with other devices in the company’s ecosystem.
Xiaomi says the model uses a fully concealed lift-up light panel with brightness of up to 1500 lm, producing a softer light designed to be easier on the eyes. Heating comes from a 3000W element, while a dual-motor DC inverter system is used for ventilation.
The heater also includes a sterilization function with claimed effectiveness of up to 98%. A built-in VOC sensor monitors air quality and can automatically trigger ventilation, with airflow rated at up to 259 m3/h.
The crowdfunding campaign in China is set to begin next week.
