Amazon India has listed the OnePlus N6x as “Coming Soon” just weeks after the N6 launch, signaling a push deeper into India’s budget phone market.

OnePlus appears to be moving quickly in India’s cheapest smartphone tier. Amazon India has already posted a OnePlus N6x page marked “Coming Soon,” putting the next model in front of buyers just a couple of weeks after the OnePlus N6 arrived.
The clearest reference point is the OnePlus N6, unveiled on June 30. The base 4GB/128GB version costs about 22,999 rupees and includes a straightforward spec sheet aimed at value buyers:
- 8,000mAh battery
- 45W charging
- 6.75-inch LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate
- MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chip
- 50MP main camera
There is no ultrawide camera or other extras. The pitch is simple: battery life and everyday usability.

Very little is known about the N6x itself. Amazon has not revealed its design, specs, or launch date. Leaker Yogesh Brar described it as a model with “familiar” specifications, which fits the likely strategy here: either a slightly cut-down N6 or a device built on an existing OPPO or realme platform to reach a lower price faster.
If the N6x does sit below the N6, the cost cutting will likely be selective. OnePlus could scale back the chip, keep the same HD display, or reduce battery size slightly, while still retaining the 50MP main camera and the phone’s practical, everyday focus.
That would line up with how India’s sub-25,000-rupee segment works. Buyers tend to prioritize a large battery, a smooth display, and acceptable performance over brand prestige. It is also where OnePlus faces heavy pressure from Xiaomi, realme, Poco, and Samsung.
Competition is even tougher further down the market. According to Counterpoint, 5G now accounts for most smartphone shipments in India, but demand for very cheap phones remains strong, especially as memory and other component prices rise. That makes reports of another OnePlus phone with 4G and a price below 16,000 rupees sound plausible.
Amazon product pages like this usually appear shortly before an announcement. If the N6x lands in the 16,000-20,000 rupee range, OnePlus will have to compete on specs, not just branding.
